I've been contacted to manually release payment, what should I do?

Do not release just because someone messages you.

First, check whether the order can complete through the normal verification flow. In supported flows, the buyer sends payment and Peer verifies the payment evidence before USDC is released from escrow. If Seller Autopilot is enabled for that rail, Peer may verify from your payment statement without you manually releasing.

If manual release is still required, only proceed after you have confirmed the fiat payment arrived in your own payment account and matched it against the order details in your deposit screen. If anything is unclear, open a support ticket before releasing.
