What are the fees on Peer?

Peer charges a 0.95% fee on transactions made through any Peer-built interface, including the website, mobile app, and any other official Peer products. This fee is applied to the transaction amount and is visible on the order confirmation screen before you submit.

What does the fee cover?

The fee goes towards platform sustainability, gas sponsorship (Peer pays all onchain gas costs on your behalf), infrastructure, and an insurance pool that protects liquidity providers.

Is this a protocol fee?

No. The ZKP2P protocol itself is free and open source. The 0.95% fee only applies when using Peer-built interfaces (website, mobile, etc.). Anyone can build their own interface on the ZKP2P protocol and set their own fee structure, including no fees at all.

Where can I see the fee?

The fee is shown on the order confirmation screen before you finalize any transaction. There are no hidden spreads or inflated rates on top of the fee.

Has Peer always charged a fee?

No. Peer was completely free to use for 3 years. The fee was introduced to make the platform sustainable.
