What is an Earning Strategy?
An Earning Strategy is an optional way to have a deposit's rates managed for you. Peer shows verified strategies with a rate for at least one selected payment-method and currency pair. On a multi-platform or multi-currency deposit, a strategy may not manage every pair.
When you use a strategy:
- Your USDC stays in your deposit escrow. The strategy does not take custody of it.
- The strategy manages your rates, but your floor rate still applies.
- Open a strategy's details to review its fee before applying it. The buyer pays this fee.
- You can stop the strategy at any time and return to managing rates yourself.
To use one while creating a deposit, open Settings, enable Earning Strategy, and choose a compatible option. After the deposit is created, select Use <strategy name> and confirm the follow-up transaction.
For an existing deposit, open it from Earn, open Position Details, and select Choose strategy. When a strategy is active, its section shows the fee, performance, and managed rates. Select Stop Strategy to return to self-managed rates.
